Autoloading and Tip scanning

I’m likely missing something very basic here, but currently the user entry fills tip location through the tip library before loading the tip carrier.

However despite now knowing tip occupancy within the carrier my Load Carrier command scans all positions and then fails on barcode detection on those positions without a tip rack.

Is there a good way of doing this? Or do I have to dynamically create a string for positions of labware used?

Help much appreciated!!

The load carrier smart step will handle all of this in one single step.
