DynamicDilutionModule Lib intended use

Hey Folks,

im planning to automate a method where some samples require a “simple” pre-dilution with fixed volumes before further processing.

I came across the DDMLib and from the help text it looks like it might be a good choice for some of the required logic.

Has anyone used this Library before for a similar task?
@EricSindelar_Hamilton is there maybe a demo method available?

Im just wondering if my use case is what the library is intended to be used for.

Thanks in advance.

I dug through my records and it looks like that library is from 2006 and was developed by our EU colleagues. I will follow up with them to see if there are any recent developments, but it is not one that is readily familiar or supported.

In the meantime, can you describe your use case? There may be other approaches that are more suitable.

Also, please let me know which help file you found reference to this DDMLib. Thanks!

Eric

Hi Eric,

thanks for your reply, attached you can find some fast screenshots regarding the Library Toolbox/HelpMenu

My samples need to be matched to a worklist, then based on the value of the column “Pre-Dilution factor” e.g. 0,…,20 a 1:X dilution should be performed on a seperate carrier/plate.
Then the positions of the created dilutions need to replace the original ones in the Load/Match Seqence before proceeding with standard addition, hydrolysis etc.

I thought the Library could be useful for data handling and allocation of dilution positions, though I dont really want to calculate dilution factors here.

Thanks,
Cem
