Hey Will,
I have an updated version of the Get Registry Value library which instead uses the WScript.Shell ComObject which is vastly more resource efficient versus powershell and temporary files. This also allows for Venus 6 and Venus 5 interoperability as this ComObject is built into Windows. You can find this updated package here.
Hi Zachary,
Thanks for sharing! I’ll give it a try.
Morning
This file is being reported as malicious by Crowdstrike and one weird antivirus on virustotal… https://download.hamiltonsupport.com/wl/?id=VQY0XAzTfcT7KY29A1YJtZVFwZ7GMOO2&path=Hamilton%20Libraries%2FHamilton%20HSLHttp%20Library%20Installer%20Version%202.7.zip&mode=grid&download=1
I know it’s probably a false positive but my company doens’t allow me to use it while the antivirus is flagging as dangerous…any alternative?
There’s lots of companies out there
Can you IT dept not scan it with more tools to actually see if it is a false positive or not?

Hi,
We purchased some QInstruments BioShake that we plan on installing a few of them to our Hamilton STAR instruments, but we were wondering if there’s such a library or driver to connect and control them via Venus?
-Nat
Hi Nat,
I cannot post the drivers for integration of third-party devices such as the QInstruments BioShake. Please reach out to your local sales team - let me know if you need help getting in touch with them.
Thanks,
Eric
Hi Eric,
Thank you for the help. I wasn’t sure if the BioShake was compatible with Venus, but now I will reach out to them.
Hi,
I am not sure if this was asked on the forum before, but could the library/driver for the Hamilton MicroLab CAP system (as well as the user manual) be posted here?

Would it be possible to post the Nimbus HD (8 channel, 2021, CO-RE I) installation software? I bought a used one but it didn’t come with a computer or USB sticks. I’d like to see the system’s configuration and verify the device before looking into getting it serviced and buying a VENUS license. Thank you!
Hello! I tried installing the LabElite decapper driver from the link on this forum but the installer fails stating I need to run the easycode|| installer first. I can’t seem to find that installer anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find that? Thanks in advance!
Hi @EricSindelar_Hamilton for the virtual labware library that you link to here, where is x=0 and y=0? Is it in the right hand, bottom corner? If I wanted the labware to shift in the direction towards 0,0, would my x and y in this instance be a negative number?
Hi Christina,
It’s relative to the labware’s current location, not relative to the system’s 0,0,0 origin.
So if you have the following labware’s coordinates set as:
And then you used the VirtualLabware command above with 9mm increase in X and Y, then the X coordinate would be shifted to 127.00 and 155.00.
I hope that helps!
Thanks,
Eric
Great, thanks for the quick answer and that makes perfect sense. I think the word “Delta” was throwing me off in the i_xDelta, i_yDelta.
Hi Nick,
I am having an issue getting my If, Else to allow me to use BOOLEON::TRUE, it declares that it is not a number when I run the program. Is there a trick to accessing the BOOLEON features?
