Tip Box Carrier

For any labware which may have an associated lid/cover defined, the lid is included with the rack when adding to the deck by enabling the ‘Include cover’ checkbox in the deck editor:

The separate .lid definition should only be added to sites that would only have a lid present, such as a park position.

Thanks.

Hey Nick, you mentioned the MPH accessing very low Z heights might cause issues with adjacent labware at higher Z, but I’m just curious what the minimum Z-height is that is accessible to the MPH if no collision considerations existed.

For example, is it possible to pick up tips from a 300 uL tip box sitting on a 1000 uL baseplate, assuming all labware in that area are at the same height?

Unfortunately, the Z position for collar bearing during tip pickup from 300/50uL tip boxes on a 1mL tip box locator will be just below the southern most limit of the Z drive.

The lowest the stop discs of MPH96 can reach is just over 80mm, which is slightly above where it would need to perform the tip pickup.

You would need to use an alternative carrier or MFX locator that would raise the boxes a few mm to perform what you are requesting.

Thanks.
