1 uL water dispense (surface empty tip) liquid class

Do any of yall have a custom Hamilton STAR liquid class for 1 uL water dispenses (surface empty tip). I would also be interested in any liquid classes built for 1 uL dispenses of viscous (50% glycerol) liquids.

For now I plan on using the default “Tip_50uLFilter_Glycerin80_DispenseSurface_Empty” but thought others might have cooked up something they like better.

i have the 2ul water dispense. thats the lowest we go with hamilton

It is possible to do a 1uL dispense but you will need to waste a little in your tip in order to do so.
Also should note the process below is for a 96 Head. For single channels I have one too and it is much easier since its individual channels.

I have 1uL dispense for tapestation prep. Currently I have the asp and disp flow rate set to 1uL/s. I have 1uL of blowout. Let me see what my settings are for the correction curve.
Currently I have it do the following:

  1. aspirates 3uL from the source
  2. 1uL back to the source (as a prime)
  3. move commands to touch the tip on each side of the well of the source plate to remove any trace liquid on the tip
  4. then 1uL to the destination and again perform move commands to touch the tip on each side of the well of the destination plate since the target volume is so small
  5. Trash the last 1uL with the tip into the waste.
    When comparing the results to a manual pipette of 1uL my results are less than 10% difference.
