3D printed Hamilton carriers

What’s the right way to define labware that is mounted directly on one of the base plates? Is it possible to make a rack available to the 3D labware assistant?

we have multiple multiflex carriers, and are looking to do just this! We have a few of the standard plate carriers, but they are a little bit too tall to hold our magnet. Any chance someone has a .stl file for a plate holder that will screw into the multiflex carrier? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi guys,

its been a while I was starting to design a Hamilton Carrier and i would like to share this with you…
The sides have holes which fits onto the screws of the Hamilton Carriers
Its not perfect but i think its a start , feel free to edit it !
The idea was to use screws to assemble it…

I used Fusion360 to create it.

Does anyone know if someone has a permanent MFX carrier they’ve been able to design (the ones that slot into the deck track almonds)?

Like this? It doesn’t have the holes but this is the base model for anything I make that goes on the deck.

It costs <$100 per MFX carrier if you get them CNC machined by SendCutSend or JLCCNC:

I make a design with all the screw hole arrangements I’ll possibly need and batch-manufacture them to get the costs down lower. They are very high quality. I’d prefer to use laser-cut sheet metal instead, but I haven’t gotten good design for manufacturing down.

You can also 3d-print working carriers from this model with a large enough printer, or split the print into 2 parts using a dovetail joint. Most 3d printer slicers like OrcaSlicer will generate that dovetail where you need it at a click of a button.

Thanks for sharing the design, Ben. How do you get the milled carriers to slide on the deck tracks with the slide blocks?

these attach to the submarines in the same style as hamilton heater shaker carriers: a 1.5mm tall slot that fits around the base of the submarine. it does not interface with the sliding endstop carrier sensor or autoload drive gear
