for dispensing into a microfluidic chip, i would suggest the following: do not aspirate a leading air gap do not aspirate a transport/trailing air gap over-aspirate sample by 1-2 uL upon dispense, make sure 1-2 uL remains in the tip slow down dispense speed, acceleration, deceleration etc to keep dispense super slow e.g. 1 second to dispense use a longer delay after dispense add a 500-750 ms delay post dispense

For Hamilton I’d probably mimic this and surface contact pipette to a “dry well” with the intent of depositing a 2-3 uL droplet into the capillary well. There’s likely some libraries you can use to get better control of pipetting so no blowout or backlash compensation is used (pipettingtools?)

Also if you have 1000 uL 8span, I find the 50uL tips actually work better than 10uL tips down to ~1uL. There’s actually some great advice in the Liquid Handling eBook on how to handle 0.5-10uL volume transfers using 50 uL tips on 1000 uL channels.
