Best practice for installing i7 that has sat unused?

We recently acquired two i7’s that have been sitting unused for over a year. They have been staged in their new location. I made sure the deck is as level as possible (feet adjusted, etc.). I want to make sure that the system tubing has been cleaned properly. I was thinking of purging the lines with 10% bleach/DI water, then with ethanol, and finally DI water.

Beyond that and some volume verification are there any other recommended tasks that should be done before putting the instruments in operation?

Beckman can recommend some hardware to check and as long as it homes well and you can turn it on and off, outside of the purging your recommended I would think it’s safe to use for basic purposes.

The only caveat I can think of is that those tubes can get pretty difficult to clean and as far as I know you can’t replace them yourself, so if you do notice issues there it may require a service call to Beckman.

@Kastronaut Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll have to check with our local FSE. So far everything seems to be initialized and functioning properly.
