Hi folks, I have a STARlet with odd TADM data on both aspirate and dispense, but only on channel 2. All other channels have the standard straight-ish curve data.
It’s not choppy to the extent that it’s going outside of the tolerance bands, the overall curve shape is as expected, and it’s passing our in-house fluorometric tests, but my concern is that it’s indicative of a future failure. I reached out to our (Hamilton-trained) service team, their response boiled down to replacement of the pipettor. On one hand, I totally get that it’s a pretty costly repair, but one single channel out of the collective 120+ in the lab behaving aberrantly doesn’t sit quite right.
My main questions, will this channel’s performance degrade over time and/or how big of an issue is this?
