Is there a command that will only eject the Gripper Tool that is not tied to the Place Plate command? To make a workflow more efficient, we’d like to set a plate in its destination position, start a timer, and then eject the tool. Is there a library or a firmware command that would work for this?
You can use the Tip Eject command. Set the 2 channels that are being used and set sequence to the CORE gripper park position.

While you can place the paddles as tips, this may result in errors down the line, where the paddles are no longer recognized as paddles when you want to pick them up for the next transport. I would rather recommend putting a dummy plate over the park position and doing a dummy transfer (pick up and place the same non-physical plate) and then executing a regular eject.
