DIY bulk pipette loading tool

Cool little device I stumbled across when I was looking for sorting algorithms.

Might come in handy for any lab that purchases bulk tips (or undergrads who are forced to manually load tipboxes!)

That’s awesome. I’ve wanted something like that many times - testing out protocols where the tips get dropped to waste always hurts because it’s such a pain to rerack the tips.

And looks like the files are no longer on thingverse… maybe I’ll try to recreate it if I get a bit of down time.

Whoops - sorry I didn’t verify the link, but I was able to find this elsewhere Pipette tip (200 µL) sorting device by LIBRE hub | Download free STL model | Printables.com

Very cool thanks for sharing!

Hello, I have been trying to print this device myself recently and plan to use PETG with a layer height of 0.2mm, a wall thickness of 1.2mm (3 layers of 0.4mm), and a filling density setting of 50%. The key measurement point of this device is the width of the bottom edge of the suction head, as the suction head will slide along the track of the device at this point. Wish me good luck!
