Dynex Agility

My company bought a Dynex Agility automated ELISA platform at auction. It’s coming to our new facility, which won’t be open for a few months, so I can’t get any hands-on time with it.

The user guide mentions user-defined assays and reagents, so it looks at least moderately customizable. But I can’t get the software to start on my computer yet (error screen above).

Anybody ever worked with one of these? Any experience getting it to do non-ELISA tasks? And any pointers for getting the software to run on a computer that’s not hosting it? I’ve already asked the manufacturer similar questions, and maybe this is a bit of a long shot, but I’d be more interested in a user’s account.

Are you sure you can run the software without connecting to an instrument? I’ve never heard of Dynex before, but the error is similar to something you would get when trying to start a software without the instrument connected.

I’m not sure about anything regarding this device, really. This install option had me hopeful, though:

It even said it would install the Grapevine Service, which the error claims doesn’t exist. I’ll try it on a different computer next.
