Field Service Technician (FST) – Lab Automation (Junior Level)

Job Summary
We are seeking an entry-to-junior level Field Service Technician (FST) to support our automated liquid handling product lines. In this role, you will receive extensive training to perform routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and hardware support on Hamilton Robotics systems (such as the STAR and NIMBUS lines) at customer laboratories.
Key Responsibilities

Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine PMs, system cleanings, and basic calibrations on Hamilton liquid handlers.

Technical Support: Assist senior engineers with complex instrument installations, upgrades, and electro-mechanical repairs.

Basic Troubleshooting: Diagnose simple hardware errors, fluidic line blocks, and connectivity issues.

Documentation: Log service calls, parts usage, and maintenance records accurately in our CRM.
Qualifications

Education/Experience: 0–2 years of experience. An Associate’s degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, robotics, or equivalent technical trade school/military training is highly preferred.

Hamilton Familiarity: Basic hands-on familiarity or previous operator experience with Hamilton Robotics systems is a strong asset (on-the-job technical training will be provided).

Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, basic knowledge of multi-meters/hand tools, and comfortable working around PCs.

Travel: Ability to travel up to 75% within the local region. Must have a valid driver’s license.
