I am trying to install completely fresh FluentControl 3.5 to a Win11 machine. However at the very end of the installation process the Install Wizard keeps rolling back. Then I am brought to a new window saying that there was an error (with 0 specifications of what kind) and if I want to install FluentControl later then follow the installation process again, with an only pressable button being ‘Finish’.
I have installed the NET 3.5 and also the pre- and post-installation steps work fine.
Could it perhaps be a firewall problem? Maybe something else?
Then what is the solution if the previous version is installed and/or causing troubles? I wanna know if that would ever happen, because my idea is to try then on some other pc.
When you install, right click and Run As Admin or make sure you’re on an account with Admin privileges.
In certain instances…
If you’re still having issues and specifically to your question, uninstall all programs in Control Panel’s Add/Remove Programs. Any directory that’s still around labeled Tecan in Program Data folders, Program FIles(x86) folder (and double check Program Files should have the contents deleted or moved into a folder on your desktop. Basically just empty or get those Tecan folders out of those directories.
And then try again.
If that fails, try to review logs or talk to your IT team/Tecan.
