I’m interested in learning more about Hamilton programming, not just in the method editor, but also in building a library in the “Hamilton HSL” editor. For example, developing a library for calculations or libraries that allow communication between Hamilton and other software within my company’s environment. Unfortunately, many commands from the Hamilton software do not work due to the company’s security restrictions (within the environment). I believe that by mastering how to build these libraries, I can integrate some methods securely, as well as explore new approaches for greater independence.
That’s a pretty broad topic that has been covered a few times on the forum (I strongly recommend using the search feature). Is there a specific workflow you’re trying to implement?
What commands do not work due to security restrictions? Perhaps we can help you narrow down on the root cause and address that rather than writing a whole library (which may still be subject to the same limitations).
Also, the way I learned is to look at existing libraries but also the HSL variants that are produced by your .med files. You can see how it matches up.
