Hamilton TADM

I am trying to use the Transfer Report for TADM_Export_Curves function. I got it to work on one method. But for a different method, the resulting .xls sheet is missing the ‘TADM Curve ID Asp’, ‘TADM Curve ID Disp’, ‘Step Number Asp’, and ‘Step Number Disp’.

Am I inputting the right StepAspirate? I binded this from the aspirate and dispense events. Here is an example of what I am passing in for the single step of the aspiration and dispense:

0[01,00,00,0,[02,00,00,0,[03,00,00,0,[04,00,00,0,[05,00,00,0,[06,00,00,0,[07,00,00,0,[08,00,00,0,[09,00,00,0,[10,00,00,0,[11,00,00,0,[12,00,00,0,100.0,Cos_96_Rd_0001,E6

Thanks!!!

Hi @trand16 ,

Can you confirm a couple things:

  1. Is TADM enabled for the liquid class that was used / passed into the TADM_Export_Curves function?
  2. Was this a live or simulated run?

You’re the best! Thanks. I had to enable TADM

Morning Brandon. I am using Hamilton grippers to pick up plates from the Hamilton heater shaker off the deck. Do you have any recommended parameters for picking them up? The plate is a little snug to the heater shakers and so I takes a little more to pull it off using the automated grippers.

I am having success with:

Grip width (mm): 75
Opening width before access (mm): 90
Grip height (mm): 4

But this bends the channels slightly. I don’t know if this is healthy for the machine over time. But if I go to a larger grip width, it isn’t strong enough to pick up the plate.

Thank you!!
David Tran

Hi @trand16 ,

I would recommend making a new post regarding this question as it doesn’t pertain to TADM.

Is the HHS currently clamped at the time when you are trying to remove the plates? How far off deck are the HHS?

If you are gripping the plate close enough that it bends the channels, then you are gripping too hard. For most plates gripping 80 with a 90 open width will do the trick, but it also depends on the labware itself.

Okay thanks! When I switched to this, this worked:

Grip width (mm): 78
Opening width before access (mm): 85
Grip height (mm): 4
