How to fix "no container defined at current labware" error in venus?

I get this when I use the “1000 ul core gripper transport” step

I am trying to move one plate from position a to position b on the same carrier. I have two plate definitions for this. I specify my plate in the “get labware from sequence” and “place labware at sequence” parameters of the step

Can you for the sake of the move, have two plates be the same definition and any further steps come from a different definition than the one used for the place sequence (have two plates with different definitions in the place location in the carrier, or create a place plate/sequence prior to placing it)?

Hi Rick,

Please check that the labware definition for the rack has a container associated with it and the path is correct for the container.

If that all looks good and you’re still getting the error, then please provide a pkg of the method and a trace with the error.
