Initialize Infinite M nano+ through Fluentcontrol(2.5)

Im trying to initialize the Platereader through FluentControl. However it doesn’t respond to any command. With the magellan software no problems have occured, only through FluentControl.

So how do i initialize the platereader through FluentControl?

have you configured the Magellan driver (under Settings - Configure System",
check IO state is on
check reader type is correctly set

Yes the IO state is on, and shows that is has connection. The settings is also set to open the platereader when “initializing”. But when I initialize nothing happens.
However if i open up the Magellan software on my computer everything seems to work and i can do the reading from there and so on…

does fluentcontrol say “driver initialized successfully” or is there an error?

At the Magellan driver settings, check if the checkbox USB reader is ON and ‘Infinite Series’ is selected at the dropdown and disable Allow simulated reader device to prevent it from possibly connecting to some reader simulation instead of a real device.

Otherwise try: Open Magellan, connect there, somewhere in the instrument settings (an icon with a blue cog wheel), there is a reader instrument selection where you can select and connect to your specific reader in Magellan. After connecting, close Magellan and open and try again in FluentControl, perhaps it remembers that setting about what is your specific reader from Magellan (but I don’t know for sure).

the funny thing is, that it says “initialized succesfully” however the UV reader doesn’t do what it is supposed to do when initializing.

I will try to see if it is checked off. im in talk with a guy from Tecan, and he told me that if the reader has connected to the magellan software it can’t connect to fluent control unless everything is restarted :I

Continuing the discussion from Initialize Infinite M nano+ through Fluentcontrol(2.5):

I think everyting is as it should be in the settings but the initializing doesn’t say “succes”

!Problem solved!
By doing a measurement through Magellan software kinda kickedstarted the hardware connection to fluentcontrol and then it was possible to control the reader through FluentControl. Thank you all for the help
