I am running into an error on my King Fisher Apex Unit. I am running ProA/G Magnetic bead protocol. The unit will pick up tips, collect beads from the sample plate, but when it goes to the wash plate I get a magnet position error. I am a new user of the KF Apex.
Has anyone seen this before? Does any one have a recommendation or solution here?
Is there an error code or any add’l info presented with the error? My first thought is some sort of labware/magnet compatibility issue. I’m not sure how smart the apex is, bit if you change the submerge depth, does this resolve the issue?
I ended up resolving this by unloading both magnets and switching their positions, This seemed to resolve the issue for now.
