Labware File for ProteinSimple (Bio-Techne) JESS Plate

Hi @EricSindelar_Hamilton @NickHealy_Hamilton, can anyone please share labware definition files for the ProteinSimple (Bio-Techne) JESS Plate? It is 25 Wells in on the short side and 6 Wells (A-F) on the long side with the wells being right adjacent (see picture), and then other larger wells needed for wash buffer addition.

Given the complexity of this and the varying well sizes is this even possible to be defined on venus without just specifying the wash buffer wells as other “psudo” wells with slight offsets at runtime? Ideally wed like this to show up on venus pretty well so if you have the .x file for the visualization of this that would also be great!

Also given that the wells are smaller than the lowest span for the 1000uL channels, would you suggest any pipetting sequences which would enable transfer of multiple samples without requiring only a single channel pickup to be used. Given the odd spacing we definitely will be using some strange sample transfer method creation but any input would be great!

Hi Zachary,

I’ve seen this requested interally before, but have yet to acquire a definition for it. While it could technically be possible to make an irregular rack definition with different containers, it would be more pragmatic to break it up into separate rack files for the different sections/containers.

If you could send a plate to us, we could define and share it! Send me a separate message to coordinate if interested.

Thanks,

Eric
