We are looking to use the Azenta (A4S) Automated Plate Sealer for both PCR and Deep Well Plates. However, the supplied metal PCR Plate adaptor is too heavy for the robotic arm to move. Is there an alternative adaptor made of lighter material that is compatible with the heat generated by plate sealing?

Azena does offer light weight inserts for this purpose. They do have some designs which can be purchased directly and one of these might solve your problem already.
However, if they don’t have one fitting they claim to design and build custom light weight inserts to solve exactly these problems.
