Hi all,
Apologies if this should be in a different category as I’m new to this site, however we are trying to find the labware file for the crystal vacuum system, our Venus 3 seems to only have labware for the BVS. Is anyone able to share if they have it? Otherwise, is best route just to define it manually? Thanks in advance!

You can use the definition for the BVS and the CVS. The CVS has some differences with the manifold and some internal components, but the labware definition should be the same for both.
I also moved this thread to be under the VENUS category.

Thank you for your response! I am still a little confused though, because I have a well plate holder on a carrier next to the plate holder on the vacuum, and measuring them on my actual deck they are the same height. However, in Venus the well plate holder on the BVS measures 182 at the base on position 1, and the well plate holder next to it has a base measuring 186.1, however in reality they measure at the same height, so wasn’t sure why the discrepancy
There are a few definitions for the BVS/CVS provided by default in VENUS. One that has no shaker positions (so just two plate positions at the same height), and others that have one shaker/one plate, 2 shakers etc.
If you use the one marked Shaker0, it would have two plate positions at the same z-height.

Thank you again for the response! However, we are still a little confused by the definition of the CVS on Venus. When measuring using a caliper, these are the measurements we get (totaling 207.5mm), however for the BVS in Venus has a height of 216mm. Where is this discrepancy coming from? I understand that the Z position on the software starts at 100mm as well. That is why I am still confused as to how the BVS definition fits our CVS. Thank you!
I’m not sure - I recall there being a couple different versions of the manifold - one short and one tall depending on the height of the filter plate you may be using. It may be necessary to modify the existing definition to match your setup. It’s a read-only file, but if you Save As, you can make modifications.
If you need assistance making such modifications, please send me a message with your system SN so I can get you in touch with local support.
