MCA Inaccurate/Uneven Volumes

Hi, everyone! Got a question for y’all about the MCA 384 EVA/ LCs for dispensing into a viscous liquid. I was seeing bubbles (LAG,TAG) dispensing a small volume (2.5uL) into a viscous solution in the destination plate so I got rid of those in the LCs… I know LAG,TAG help w/ accuracy and precision. Is there a way to still have accuracy and precision w/o the presence of LAG and TAG in the pursuit of no bubbles in my destination plate? Am I asking for too much from the MCA?

Hi,
the EVA might not be the best head adaptor for this volume,
as the EVA combines the plunger movement of 4 channels, each plunger is only dispensing ~0.6 uL
this is likely to be challenging to get good accuracy and precision,

i would advise on removing both LAG & TAG,
focus on slow aspiration speeds etc
dispense into the viscous solution in destination well
then use a post mix to wash the tip of the correctly aspirated tip volume - and again, slow & steady should avoid bubbles & cavitation in the liquid/tip

definitely use 50 uL tips
