I’m currently working with the MPE module that features a 96-position manifold. Does anyone know if it’s possible to process a filter plate sequence with fewer than 96 positions? Alternatively, is there a way to direct the air to specific positions rather than distributing it across the entire manifold?
I would avoid processing an entire filter plate for runs that contain fewer than 96 samples, as this would allow for potential reuse without stressing the unused wells.

The MPE is designed to provide an even distribution of air/pressure to all wells provided in the manifold, so by default this is not programmatically possible with the device.
That being said, I don’t know if others have tried utilizing a seal with piercing certain wells and then proceeding to process the plate in the MPE. Depending on the pressures used there may be some success with this.
There are also plenty of filter plate types with filter material that would be unaffected by reuse in the MPE.

Thank for replying ! Indeed I’ve been trying to seal the unused positions, or eventually verifying if unused wells are impacted by several void cycles of pressure
