Hi community, we recently bought OT2 with P300 Gen2 8-channel pipette. I installed pipette and trying to calibrate. Completed the Deck calibration. For reasons unknown, we can’t get the tip length calibration to move forward. The app flickers with processing icon and never progress to calibration neither throws any error.
We tried connecting OT2 with macOS and Win11 laptops using USB ethernet cable. We also have unpredictable/flickering connection issue.
App v7.2.2.; firmware v1.1.0-25e5cea; supported API v2.0-2.10.
Did anyone faced these issues before? Any suggestions to fix them?
Thank you,
Balaji
Maybe a limit switch was hit but not raised to the app. Can you attach your robot logs to this conversation?

Hi Ethan, I can’t share the robot log files here, could you share me your email to which I can send them. Thanks.
Are you able to share the log files via Google drive?
Update:
We figured that there is software version differences between the OT2 robot server (v4.3) and Opentrons app that we used (v7.2.2) in our Win11 machine.
We solved this by reflashing the SD card in the robot and updated the robot software by following these steps: https://support.opentrons.com/s/article/Reflashing-the-OT-2-s-SD-card
With correct softwares vesions, we were able to complete deck and pipette calibrations.
Thank you for help.
Balaji.

Thanks for letting me know the resolution! It’s always a good idea to keep the robot and app software versions synced. If you do not, it can lead to some weird behaviors. The one you are experiencing might be because v 4.3 has a different tip calibration process, and the endpoints do not match up.
