Paperless Lab Academy EU March 2026

Hey everyone! :waving_hand:

I wanted to share something I’m excited about – Paperless Lab Academy Europe is coming to Barcelona next March, and I think this community would really vibe with it.

Why I’m posting this: The best part of these events isn’t the sessions (though those are great) – it’s the conversations between talks, the “wait, how did you solve that?” moments over coffee, and connecting with fellow automation nerds who get what we’re trying to build. If you’ve been feeling like your lab is stuck between legacy systems and the future, this is your crew.

What we’re exploring across three tracks:

  • In Silico-First Science – AI/ML applications in lab workflows, computational approaches, and how to actually implement them (not just talk about them)
  • Scientific Informatics & Data Management – Getting your data infrastructure right, integration strategies, and making systems actually talk to each other
  • Creating Smart or Smarter Labs – Digital transformation that works in the real world, not just on slides

We’re looking for speakers who have real experiences to share – the successes AND the “here’s what we learned the hard way” stories. If you’ve implemented something interesting around lab automation, data pipelines, AI/ML workflows, or digital transformation, we’d love to hear from you. This is about knowledge sharing, not vendor pitches.

The details:

  • When: March 17-19, 2026
  • Where: Barcelona, Spain :spain:
  • Who: Hosted by 20/15 Visioneers
  • Focus: Learning practical skills for next-generation lab transformation

Whether you’re wrestling with LIMS integration, exploring code-first approaches (or no code!), or figuring out how to sell digital transformation to your organization, there will be folks there who’ve been in your shoes.

Would love to see some of you there – always great to put faces to forum usernames!

Cheers,
Andrew
