Hi checking the Aspirate API there doesn’t seem to be a param for this. Liquid class does have a “Settling Time” attribute, but the max is 10 seconds. We need to wait longer than this. Is there any way, either through the liquid class or aspirate API, to achieve this? Thanks
It doesn’t seem like theres an obvious way to make this happen directly through Venus (and consequently PyHamilton). You could try doing a lot of mix cycles if your process allows for that, or just making the aspiration speed really slow.
Like Stefan says there’s no obvious direct way to do this; you could do many mix cycles with 0uL of volume like he suggests which would probably have the same effect, but in addition you could drop the Swap Speed for aspiration to really low - that can go as low as 0.3mm/s, which can add a lot of time to the effective “Settling Time” depending on the submerge depth of your tip.
