Hello, I hope somebody can help me with this as I can’t reach any customer support of Perkin Elmer.
I want to know where to find the aspiration and mixing speed of our Janus liquid handler. Or is it a fixed setting? I want to match the speed on our Hamilton Liquid Handler for a method transfer.
@Liim98 I have the customer training guide for the Janus. It includes how to change speeds and a lot of other relevant info. Unfortunately, I am not able to upload pdf files on this post. Cand you reach out to me at service@dcmbio.com and I will send you a copy.
@Liim98 It’s been a while since I’ve used a Janus, but I believe you can edit the aspirate speed (syringe pump speed) by double-clicking the aspirate node in the protocol. Same for a mix step.
@Liim98 as @mtrotter mentioned the aspiration and dispense speed can be modified for each aspiration and dispense step individually if needed (Parameters → Precision) but the default behavior is to change the speeds using a Performance File (similar to a Hamilton Liquid Class) and then assign the Performance file for each transfer group or custom procedure as warranted.
