Protocol designer problem

I’ve been using the Opentrons’ protocol designer since this january. Since march it’s giving me problems with the volumes when doing “Transfer“.

For example: I have a 12-well reservoir with 10 mL in each well. I want to transfer 100 μL using the 8-channel pipette to a 96-well plate, in duplicate. Mathematically, I should have 8,400 μL left over, but according to the website, there are only 7,600 μL remaining. This causes (FALSE) errors to appear during the workflow, indicating that there is not enough volume or that the system is attempting to aspirate from an empty well.

In other steps, I’ve noticed it calculates as if it were excluding the volume used for the mix every time it aspirates for the transfer (this is with the transfer mix itself, not a separate step). But it doesn’t always follow this rule exactly, since in the previous example, it only excludes 800 µL and not 1,600 µL corresponding to the mixes for each destination plate.

On the other hand, I’ve noticed that these errors don’t appear in the Opentrons app. The workflow displayed in the “Visualize” option is correct, and the volumes listed are accurate as well.

Has anyone else encountered this situation? Do you know what I can do to try to fix it? It’s much harder to work when you can’t see what each step does in the diagram.

Thanks!!

They’ve updated the protocol designer web and it doesn’t give me that error anymore.
