Release notes for Method manager 2009 vs MM2 V1.0

Hello,

Putting back in circulation one of my Starlet.

Therfore…

I would like to upgrade my Method Manager from a very old 2009 version (originally developed by Alvaro Cuevas) to MM2 v1.0, which was provided by my Hamilton Field Service Specialist.

My IT department is requesting release notes describing the changes between the two versions. Unfortunately, that is proving difficult since more than 10 years separate these releases, and I have not been able to find any historical documentation covering the evolution from the original Method Manager to MM2.

Still, I thought I’d try my luck here: does anyone happen to have release notes, change logs, validation documents, or any information that could me?

Hi Kevin,
these are not official Hamilton applications, and we don´t maintain release notes for these (I wrote the old one when I was a distributor before joining Hamilton).

This is the latest version of the Method Manager 2.

Summary of the changes:

[2.1] - 2026-05-29

  • Application rewritten in C# and HTML front-end

[2.0] - 2021-03-15

  • Application rewritten Node Web-kit and HTML front-end
  • Support of VENUS User Management (=VENUS ”Function protection”) to restrict operations based on user roles defined in VENUS
  • Simulation toggle button
  • All links and shortcuts data stored in local json files.

[1.0] - 2009

  • First release, Flash application.

We are still operating on the old MM you built in 2010 so I need to document as much as I can the changes between that version and the newest MM. The information you provided will do.

Yes, I would keep using it but due to regulations, we have to upgrade :slight_smile:
