SBS thermoblock or slant microplate holders

Hey, I’m wondering if anyone knows of good robot friendly commercially available parts for these two needs:

  1. Thermoblocks that are not PCR plate specific - I used to use a custom CNCed one, I do not have an on-deck cooling unit to keep plates chilled unfortunately
  2. Slanted microplate holder - trying to ensure all media is aspired out of wells soI need the slightest angle. I’ve printed these in the past but don’t currently have access to a printer

Why not use the custom CNC one still?

Corning CoolRack and CoolSink Plate and Reservoir Modules are great for this use. They are in SBS format and come with divots if needed or just a flat SBS format if not.

If you’re looking for a more active cooling solution you can look at a CPAC through Inheco or the active plate cooler from solid state cooling systems!

If you’re looking for an off the shelf manual tilt module Integra 4510 is the way to go for their Assist Plus platform. This also can be used off deck for manual workflows if you need it. It also should work with any SBS formatted plate position and it should fit snugly but do make sure to reach out to your Integra rep if you’re trying to do this.

If you’re on deck with a liquid handler most if not all companies have a tilt module which they have validated on their respective systems. Your best bet is to get whichever the manufacturer recommends and is easiest to integrate!

Without knowing the specifics you’re looking for or the deck layout you have it’s hard to suggest the perfect solution, but the above are great suggestions if you’re using any bench-top devices.
