Hello everyone! I was hoping someone could share their experience with setting offsets on an Inheco Multi TEC controller. We have numerous Hamilton Stars using CPAC Ultraflat HT 2TECs. In going over the inheco manual there is a bit of ambiguity so I wanted to reach out here and see how others deal with setting offset temperatures. Some of my questions are…
-
What do you normally use for in well temperature measurements? Silicone oil, the actual reagent?
-
What have you seen as the best device to measure in well temperature?
-
When determining the RT (room temperature) the measurement is to be made as close to the sample as possible. I have noticed that when the CPACS are heating up the temperature in the Hamilton star will raise 1-2C (starting at 22C and eventually will land at 25C). Do you set the RT prior to heating up the CPACs to the OT(offset temperature)?
-
When determining the OF (offset) and heating up the cpac to the OT (Offset Temperature), should the measured room temperature be inputted at this time? For example heating up the cpac to 70 with a 0C OF.
-
Once the OF and RT are established and have been verified, does this procedure need to be repeated at any kind of interval? In your experience have you noticed that setting the OF value is a one time procedure at installation/ cpac replacement?
*How do you deal with labs where the “room temperature” fluctuates? Does this have an impact on the set offsets?
Thank you so much in advance for any insight on this!
