Hello,
I am having trouble scanning tips barcode using the IDL on Vantage with venus5. The system is returning a barcode error for tips rack with the correct barcode. I think it might have to do with the settings for window of interest. As anyone played around with the window of interest (WOI)?
Thanks
@Starrif2263 - Yes, in VENUS 5/VoV rev T and following VANTAGE software builds, it is recommended to use a custom/specified WOI for tip racks on a tip carrier for barcode reading. The parameters I use for tip racks are shown in the example step below:
There is additional help documentation you can access from the step, which goes over the various load step parameters in more detail. Below summarize the default values applied by the step if a custom WOI is not specified.
Hope this helps! Thanks.

Thanks @NickHealy_Hamilton much appreciated as always, this is super helpful. The help document describes the parameters well. However, my recommendation would be to incorporate examples to provide good starting point. I definitely would have never guessed the z value you provided.
Thank for pointing me in the right direction.
Hi Community,
Just sharing that the settings provided by @NickHealy_Hamilton worked beautifully. Thanks again Nick. Also, for anyone trying to scan plate of the portrait carrier (PLT_CAR_P3AC) using the new IDL (cognex), changing the raster width to 1400 worked well for me.
