I wanted to just ask generally how people source spare parts for liquid handlers besides just buying a service contract. Can third party companies source parts from the respective company? If someone get service training from the liquid handler company can they purchase parts even though they are not an employee of the company? How do this work. Thank you in advance!
it depends on which liquid handler,
do you have a specific need ?

Companies sometimes have specific parts that they’ll sell individually to customers especially if it has to get replaced often. I think a lot of people buy used/ broken equipment and get parts that way as well.

Hate to admit that I’ve used eBay a lot to scrap together repairs. I wouldn’t recommend that unless you have service training and can spot a good vs faulty part.

Thanks for the answers! Nothing specific more just curiosity having worked on a variety of liquid handlers including the big market share ones over the years. I was curious how it would work if oone doesn’t just go down the service contract path.
