Starlet 16 Channel - Pipetting 32 to 24 Tube Carrier

I am just wondering if there are any ways to program a 16-channel Starlet to pipet samples from a 32-tube carrier to a 24-tube carrier for batch-like processing. The Deck areas for random access 16 channels say no, but I just want to verify.

Thanks in advance!

there is a library which u can use which change sequence based on where the channels can reach. it is called Channel_check_Access_V2

Random Access is a thing here…

Can you access your positions?

This means that you should sort your sequences and use the option “Keep Channelpattern” as an option.

Hi @Ron ,

The STAR Channel Tools :: CHAN_ACCESS_Sort2Sequences function will allow the pipetting that you described without running into channel access restrictions. STAR Tip Tools :: Optimized1mLTipPickup2 function will perform the same action but for tip pick up as well.

The demo method that includes both libraries can be downloaded here.
