Tecan Fluent Error - The Execution of the Transition Failed

Has anyone seen this error? It doesn’t seem to be causing any functional issues but occurs whenever we run a script. Also, the editor keeps defaulting to “Smart Mode” which it didn’t do before.

When if first popped up, nests and labware were no longer on the worktable and showed up as orphaned. I put everything back together but this error persists.

What version of FC?

3.3 - Thank you btw!

As you noted & in my experience, the error doesn’t produce functional issues. Operators can click through ithe pop up and see no impact to the quality of their runs.

I’ve seen this happen after the software crashes and then subsequent power cycling that isn’t executed per the instructions. I believe Tecan may have a patch for it but don’t quite remember well.

With that said if you want to get rid of the pop up today, you can try by uninstalling & re-installing the software.

Do you know what the impact uninstalling and reinstalling will have on the connection to labwerks or the existing database? I can export and re-import. Is there anything else to consider?

Try if just a Window - Reset Layout helps, it’s an option somewhere in the FC Menu on top. If FC suddenly always starts with different GUI settings (‘Smart mode’ pre-selected), a file in the background that stores the GUI layout may have became corrupt . When FC switches between run and edit mode it also need re-load the GUI settings every time.

Ok, I’ll give that a try. Thanks!

It should keep the database intact and technically you’re not uninstalling Driver Framework so that should be fine but it will overwrite the default database for labware, carriers, etc… I never use default labware so not really a problem for me.

If you’re concerned, you can try the aforementioned with a VM.

It awlays helps to have exports and restore points created.
