(VENUS 6.4) I’m working on a method that will use a variable bound to a Shell command to drive error handling. We’re seeing inconsistencies in the variable returned between functional and nonfunctional calls of the shell command. For example, a successful execution will return 0 or 1, as would an unsuccessful execution. Some unsuccessful executions return -1. The help window usually gives a breakdown of possible return values but the Shell command does not. Is anyone able to provide more insight?
