Is there a use case for that? I saw it but didn’t know how I would ever use that.
Do you mean speak()? I use it when I display a user message during a protocol or when I start a protocol from a form and instruct the user to set up the tip state editor. You can use either beep() or speak()… provided the user has the audio turned on

Besides annoy all the end-users?
I could see putting it into long-running methods. We has some with long incubations, and the end-user would go do something else. Other people wouldn’t always know that the system was in use. A long time ago I made a light up acrylic sign people could turn on to let people know - “Robot in use, may move without warning.”
It depends on the user. Some want to be guided, some other know exactly what to do. They ask and I try to fulfil their needs.
