I’m Steve, based in Cambridge, UK. I work for a small cancer diagnostics company, where I look after a mixture of lab operations, assay development, data/QC workflows, and bringing lab systems online.
We’re currently trying to bring an older Hamilton STARlet back into use and I’ve been working through the VENUS/software/firmware side of things. I’m fairly new to Hamilton automation, so I’m hoping to learn from others here and hopefully contribute back as we get more experience.
Hi all, I’m Joe, a research software engineer based in Seattle with a background in spatial biology and lab automation. I recently built LabQuery, an open-source natural language interface for LIMS and liquid handlers (Benchling, eLabJournal, Opentrons, Tecan, Hamilton). I wanted to connect with the community to get a sense of real problems I could try to solve. Please feel free to reach out. Excited to be here and learn from this community!
Hi Steve, Dibyendu here. I am based in Stevenage, UK and am learning the Hamiltons, as a new user as well.
Hopefully, we can share the learning journey
Hi Everyone,
Dibyendu here. I am based in Stevenage, UK, and new to the Lab Automation space. Currently learning to use the Hamilton STAR and Tecan Fluents at my workplace.
My previous experience is in the Opentrons OT-2 during my postdoc, where I used it using the Python API to create bacterial biofilms at high throughput and perform bacteriophage characterisation.
