I’m Steve, based in Cambridge, UK. I work for a small cancer diagnostics company, where I look after a mixture of lab operations, assay development, data/QC workflows, and bringing lab systems online.
We’re currently trying to bring an older Hamilton STARlet back into use and I’ve been working through the VENUS/software/firmware side of things. I’m fairly new to Hamilton automation, so I’m hoping to learn from others here and hopefully contribute back as we get more experience.

I am new to the forum and I am a DNA forensic scientist. We are currently using Tecan’s for our automated DNA extractions. However since servicing for the Tecan Freedom EVO will end in a few years, we are slowly trying to look for new instrument to replace them!
