What rack reader have you integrated into your Liquid Handlers?

Are many of you out here have integrated rack readers into your systems?

If you have what readers have you used?

If you’re thinking about it, what readers are you considering?

They’re made to read datamatrix coded tubes. They’re made by companies like Steribar, Ziath and LVL.

We chose the Ziath (now a part of Azenta) Express for our STARlets due to small footprint. I had trouble reading the small rack identifier barcode consistently - but this was with an older version of the Express made in 2021, and on DataPaq v 3.18. The reads for the sample tubes was always top notch and customer service from Ziath (at the time) was excellent

Oh, gotcha, 2D tube rack barcode readers. My go-to has always been Ziath. Looks like the current model number is the DP5 Mirage (Azenta)
