Adding to sequence yields empty position & labware ID

When I use HSLAppsLib’s APPSLIB::SequenceAdd or HSLSeqLib’s SeqAdd to add a position to a sequence it’s successfully adding the position but the position and labware IDs are empty. I see someone else asked a similar question here but the empty ID part of their problem was never answered. Does anybody know why this happens?
