Introduce yourself

Hi there,
I’m Adam an Acoustic Scientist applying myself to cell culture lab automation at Impulsonics , A new start up levitating cells with the current focus of creating a benchtop automation system for cell passaging. Working with a number of different LHR robots, hoping to share what I’ve learnt and pick up solutions I hadn’t thought of. Would also like to see if our acoustic technology can help anyone here with their automation issues!

Hi Everyone,

I’m new to this forum and excited to be part of this community.

I come from a background in molecular biology and microbiology, with over 20 years of experience working across a range of laboratories, primarily in infectious disease. In my current role, I’m driven by a passion for translating complex scientific protocols and SOPs into efficient, reliable automated workflows.

I act as the scientific liaison between customers and engineers—bridging the gap between scientific intent and automation reality. As many of you know, interpreting scientific methods for automation can be a bit of a minefield, where attention to detail and asking the right questions make all the difference.

Having a strong understanding of the automation market and the capabilities of current instruments and platforms, allows me to provide science-driven insight into workcell design and technology selection.

I’m looking forward to contributing to discussions, learning from others, and sharing a mutual passion for scientific breakthroughs enabled by innovative automation design and smart software scheduling.

Great to be here!

Hi all!

I am a Doctoral Student / Neurosurgeon Trainee, currently working in the Lab in the University Clinic Heidelberg. Our Team focuses on Drug Therapy for Brain Tumors, and we test it on automated Hamilton Robot.

Happy to be part of the community!

Hi all,
I work at the Genome Foundry at Concordia. We have a Vantage, and I’ve been developing methods on it for the past four years. So far, it has been a lot of fun to work with!

Hi There,

im a Chemical Technician at the Toxicology department of Labor Berlin Charité Vivantes GmbH in Germany.

We have a few Hamilton Microlab Starlet Robots and mainly do sample prep for our forensic workflows eg. Drugs of Abuse.

I have big fun learning programming in Hamilton Venus, although I do mainly LC-MS/MS stuff.

Ultimately I want to work towards pipetting manually as little as possible

Happy to be part of the community.

Hey all!
I’m a Software Engineer turned Automation Specialists. My bachelors degree was in Biology so I have a decent understanding of lab processes. I’ve been automating labs for about 2 years now and it’s been quite a learning experience.

Very excited to be apart of this community and to see what I can contribute to it.

Hi everyone! My name is Joe and I’ve been developing scripts on two large Tecan Fluent 1080s for many years at Cambridge Consultants. We have a range of clients with different experimental needs and so we require a lot of script development work. More recently, we acquired a Hamilton MicroLab Prep and I’ve been leading a team to develop an AI system to automatically generate and run scripts from a natural language input. I’m looking forward to learning from, and contributing to, this community! Also I’m always keen to meet people in the Cambridge (UK) area who are working on biology automation
