Never seen this error before. based on description it suggests that its a repeated entry. I have run method before without any type of issue, is it just simply a DB error?

Yes, this is a Vector Database error. There are several posts that might assist with this issue:
- Strange Venus Error in Log
- Vector Database connection issue
- Vector error during run causing method to abort
The error could go away by simply restarting the PC on a regular basis, which clears temporary memory. The LogFiles folder and/or the SQL sSrver itself may need to be cleaned up to create additional space. Other processes running on the PC or over the network could also interrupt communication leading to errors like this.
If you check the Windows Event Viewer logs around the time of the error, you may also be able to determine a more exact cause.

HI Dan,
thanks for the information. Makes sense. I was looking through the logs at saw an error arround the time stating an error in making a DB backup.
apart from restarting the system is there something that can be done to prevent this? is this a scheduled task that can be performed at a set time?

Hi @DrDode,
This task is part of normal VENUS Sample Tracking processing, so it cannot be prevented without disabling Sample Tracking and the Vector Database. Your best options are those I listed regarding storage space, and checking with your IT department regarding any antivirus or similar software that may have be actively interacting with SQL or the Hamilton folder/subfolders at the time the error occurred.
